When Chickens Come Home to Roost
This is an adaptation of Laurence Holder`s play WHEN THE CHICKENS CAME HOME TO ROOST by TaRon Patton exploring the relationship between Nation of Islam leader, The Honorable Elijah Muhammad, and his chief protégé, Malcolm X. This adaptation is in celebration of the Centenary of Malcolm X’s life and zooms in on the arc of their relationship and how it parallels to our relationship with America as Black Artists. This adaptation is a performance exhibition for AAMPA which concludes with a short symposium.

Mosaic Series
Join us for the Mosaic Series ! For our June 2026 gathering, we will be hosting brunch for Black theatre artists who work in or around the Chicago area for connection, relationship-building, and peer resource-sharing. The Mosaic Series is a rotating series of affinity gatherings designed to foster connections amongst theatre artists who have been historically excluded and denied access to space, resources, and opportunities. Following brunch, we invite participants to join us over at Definition Theatre for a matinee performance of Keerah .
